The learning process, in my opinion, always involves observing the great artists that came before you, then gradually breaking away from their “Powerful Influence” to seek your own way of creating. For me, those artists are Klimt, Egon Schiele, Kokoschka, Da Vinci, Remedios Varo, Arnold Böcklin…
This piece was created at a time when that influence proves blatantly clear, but I believe that it is part of the quest to find my own way of expressing art.
